We buy and produce in small amounts so that we may avoid over production and material waste. We also work with several different artisans and small businesses in Portugal, which helps to support the local economy.

Our bags leather is from Europe and, although natural, we choose only suppliers who are members of the LWG (Leather Working Group) and only work with non-toxic tanning methods. Both the leather and lining are silver-rated. 

Christine Prinz articles meet the demands of the most ambitious markets by complying with REACH and OEKO-TEX standards. The leather is tanned organically and not chemically, so it is chrome free, following all REACH guidelines.

In addition, these standards provide additional value to the final product. Our manufacturing partners conduct tests during both the research and the production of our articles, and they regularly update their technical sheets with the results of the tests.

We don’t use leather on the inside of the bag, which is vegan friendly and free of harmful substances.
